$4000 Arai Helmet?

All motorcycle helmets no matter how expensive or cheap, generally offer the same amount of protection to keep you safe. As long as a lid is DOT and SNELL approved, then what more do you need, right? Well under that logic then all bikes and riding gear would look exactly the same…BOOORRRIINNNG! You want gear that is gonna make you stand out from the crowd. Gear that shouts look how awesome I am…Look At ME!

Well for those attention staved riders out there, there is one helmet that stands above the rest. One helmet that is handcrafted by the worlds most renowned designers. A helmet that was designed for the track, but meant for the everyday rider…That helmet is none other than the Arai Corsair-V Race Carbon Fiber Graphic Helmet.

Now I know what your thinking, “of course Arai makes kick-ass lids, whats new?” Well apart from the fact that this helmet is not only handmade from 100% pure carbon fiber. It also has the prestigious title of being the most expensive lid on the market. To pick up one of these badboys, it’ll set you back quite a few doubloons…like $4000 to be exact! Now let’s be honest, that is an insane amount for a helmet. You could easily pickup an exhaust, intake, fuel management, tires, jacket, boots, and a regular Corsair-V for that price. But hey if you got the money, then go for it?

Here are the features for the Race Carbon Fiber;

* Larger upper vent tabs make operating these vents, even with thick winter gloves, much easier than before.

* The newly designed Hyper-Ridge enhances shell strength and enlarges bottom opening for easier putting on & taking off, without increasing helmet size or weight.

* New 1-piece design bottom edge trim improves the already sleek look of the Corsair-V, but also helps reduce weight.

* Wider eye port, with an additional 5mm on either side, greatly increases the peripheral field of view and provides exceptional situational awareness.

* Arai’s “I” shield is the latest generation of Super AdSis shield system, designed for the 10mm wider eye port on the CorsairV.

* In concert with the new “I” shield, a new “I” base plate design was created to further improve the shield system by increasing system flexibility that not only makes shield removal & installation easier but also increases system durability by eliminating stress points on key components.

* Latest Generation Dry Cool liner has perforated material for enhanced cooling.

* Removable/replaceable neck roll, with additional vents.

* Exclusive Emergency Release Tab feature allows trained emergency personal to remove cheek pads quickly & easily enabling them to remove the helmet from an unresponsive rider, if needed, with minimal effort.
